Welcome to 7th Grade Music!

The Land Of Discovery

In this class we will study the history of Western Music. Units we will cover include but are not limited to:

  • Elements and Principles of Music (.ppt)
  • Music History
  • Composers
  • Music Reading and Writing
  • Musical Theater

What you will need for this class:

  • Notebook or a binder -- we do not have a text book so you will need to take good notes!
  • Folder (provided)
  • Writing utensil -- pencil, blue ink pen or black ink pen
  • An OPEN Mind!

Your grade:

  • Participation -- points will be given daily for class participation
  • Notebooks -- you will receive 10 points for good notes at the end of each unit.
  • Projects and assignments -- Doing projects and assignments conscientiously and on time will ensure that you pass this class.
  • Quizzes -- quizzes will be announced and given as needed.
