Welcome to 8th Grade Music!

In this class we will study the Music of the World. Units we will cover will be chosen from:

* Elements and Principles of Music (review)
* The United States and North America: Jazz and Bluegrass
* Africa
* Middle East
* South America

What you will need for this class:

* Notebook or a binder -- we do not have a text book so you will need to take good notes!
* Writing utensil -- pencil, blue ink pen or black ink pen
* An OPEN Mind!

Your grade:

* Participation -- points will be given daily for class participation
* Projects and assignements -- Doing projects and assignments conscientiously and on time will ensure that you pass this class.
* Notebooks -- you will receive 10 points for good notes at the end of each unit.
* Quizzes -- quizzes will be announced and given as needed.
